London Marathon Fundraiser
Jon Evans, dad to Harrison in Year 3, took part in the London Marathon last weekend to raise money for both the Infant and Junior School. We would like to say a huge thank you to Jon for thinking of us and supporting both schools. A big thank you to everyone who donated. So far Jon has raised £1500 which is an amazing total. King’s Coronation Junior Bake Off
Calling all junior bakers…get ready for the King’s Coronation Junior Bake Off! We will be hosting a baking competition on Friday 5th May. Children are invited to take part by baking cupcakes, biscuits or cakes in celebration of the King’s Coronation and bringing them into school. Designs will be judged and winners will be chosen from each year group. Each participant will receive a certificate for taking part and winners will receive a prize. All entries will be sold in our cake sale which we will holding in the afternoon.
Also to mark the King’s coronation, pupils may come into school wearing red, white and blue on Friday 5th May and have the opportunity to play games and win prizes. Games are 50p a go. All the money raised will go towards buying fruit trees for our school garden.
Clubs
The next set of after school clubs for the summer term have started this week. If your child has been allocated a space but is unable to attend on any occasion, for any reason, please let the school office know as soon as possible.
Lost Property
We would like to remind parents that we have a number of unclaimed school uniform items in our lost property box. If you are missing any items, please have a look through lost property which is located in our reception area just outside the main office. Please ensure that all items of uniform are clearly labelled with your child’s name as this helps to return items if they are misplaced or lost.

We would like to remind parents that all the information regarding our school, including the calendar, can be viewed on our website www.shj.havering.sch.uk and in addition, we also have our school App which can be downloaded. This is a great way for us to send reminders to you about events in school.
